On Cloud K9 and LifeLine Dogs have come together to offer you a 6-week adolescent dog training course designed for 'teenage' dogs from 6 to 24 months old.
We use games based concept training, popularised by Absolute Dogs, to teach your young dog great life skills.
Adolescence is a trying time, and the dog is going through big changes with hormones, body and brain. You'll learn how to many the journey through adolescence easier.
Our training courses are fun and suit all learning styles. There are in-person training sessions held in Bishopston in Swansea which are accompanied by an online dog training course that you'll have access to for 6 months from the start of the training course.
The number of dogs in each class are strictly limited and spaces are allocated to the first people to pay the 50% deposit.
This adolescent foundations dog training course focuses on the following concepts:
Adolescents get both more confident and more fearful! We'll teach them that the bubble around you is the best place to be.
Like their human counterparts, adolescent dogs don't have a great deal of self control.
You'll teach your dog to mind their own business!
Your dog will learn to manage their arousal levels without tipping over into inappropriate behaviour.

People only retain 20-40% of what they are told. Our in-person training sessions are complemented by an online training course that you have access to for 6 months from the start of the training course. The online dog training course includes videos of what we did in each training session along with essential information to help you better understand your dog.
In our dog training courses, we teach the dogs valuable life skills by playing games. Games are essential for healthy development. We shape the dogs' brain by playing fun 3 minute games. Games based concept training teaches your dog valuable life skills, such as impulse control, focus, confidence, optimism, engagement and calmness.
We use fun, rewards and praise to teach the dogs great life skills, rather than force, fear or punishment. There's no need to use something that your dog doesn't like in order to get their compliance, such as kneeing them in the chest to stop them jumping up. We help you understand how your dog thinks and feels, so that you can feel more empathy for them.
The dog training world has come a long way in the last 20 years and we now know that dogs learn in the same way as humans do and that they have mental capabilities and emotional intelligence equivalent to a 2.5-year-old child. We are continually educating ourselves so that we can provide the most up to date training methods based on scientific research.
